Pete Rush

Pete Rush designs costumes and scenery for live performance and film. Based in Seattle WA, his work has been seen at ACT Theatre, 5th Avenue Theatre, Village Theatre, Intiman, Seattle Shakespeare Company, and Book-It Rep, among others. Regional: Hangar Theatre, George Street Playhouse, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, and Northeast Theater Company.  

He has served as a guest artist/adjunct faculty at Seattle University. Additionally, Pete works for Seattle Center, where he produces free public programs and events.

In addition to design, Pete specializes in large-scale installation art, including a temporary installation made out of condoms for the AIDS Memorial Pathway in Seattle.  

He is immersed in the drag and burlesque communities, lending his design support to projects including The Jinkx and Dela Holiday Special on Hulu and Jingle All the Gay.

He has been a proud member of USA 829 for a decade.  His union service includes work with the Costume Department Best Practices committee, and as a USA 829 representative for IATSE District One.  He is now thrilled to also represent the LGBTQ community as a member of this Pride Committee.
