Ren Gingras is proud to be a member of IATSE Local 476 since 2014. They were raised in the Chicago suburbs and attended DePaul University for Digital Cinema, where they began working on student projects as grip/electric. Ren has spent most of their time on set as a grip and is honored to have worked as a Best Boy Grip on both rigging and shooting crews.

Inspired by the International’s formation of a Pride Committee in 2019 and the Local 476 Women’s Committee, Ren co-founded the Local 476 Pride Committee with Tori Scott, Alma Izquierdo, and Eddie Jerks III to support the needs of LGBTQ Members. When not working on or off set, Ren enjoys cooking, reading comic books, and hanging out with their cat.
